Day 15 and Counting

weight 110 lbs.
waist 2" below the belly button 31"
waist at the belly button 28.50"

I am a very, very bad food allergen eliminator. I went to the grocery yesterday and got ingredients for two great chicken dinners. What I failed to purchase were the staple foods of my diet: quinoa, chicken broth (for the quinoa), rice products. Basically, I left myself without meals planned for the entire day.

This morning was fine, having leftovers from last night's dinny, but by snack time, I was not at all excited about all of the macadamias and chips I knew to be ahead of me. Ugh, I feel like a junk food machine.

I'm prepping for a Mardi Gras/Housewarming party this weekend, so my commute home and a trip to Target left me dreading the grocery. Instead I opted for a quick trip to the neighborhood corner store--besides, there is never any telling what they'll have, as I often am impressed at the selection. No quinoa, but I did get plain white rice and some grainy rice mix.

It was pretty bland without any chicken or other broth to flavor it, but I swear I never enjoyed a hot bowl of rice so much! Thank you hot food!

I also had some interesting slip-ups today: a few bites of soy sauced rice noodles around lunch time and a glass of red (with sulfites).

The soy did not seem to have any affect: score! I really do feel for those allergic to soy, as it is in nearly EVERYTING. The wine has me a bit stuffed up, but nothing intolerable. Maybe histamines are my problem, if I'm congested, that is.

Here's what kept me (kind of) going today:

Breakfast
A Bit of Quinoa (cooked with organic, yeast free, gluten free, soy free chicken broth) with a Few Bites of Organic Chicken Breast (cooked with honey, spicy mustard, cumin and garlic powder)

Snacks
Salted Macadamia Nuts
Potato Chips Cooked in Olive Oil with Rosemary
Salted Macadamia Nuts
A Very Small Serving (maybe 1/8 cup) of Rice Noodles (with what I think was soy sauce on them)
Half of a Sugar Free Red Bull

Dinner
A Rice Grain Blend (with several different grains of rice in it) and a Glass of Cabernet
