If I am going to get tested, I want to know which method is most accurate. According to Dr. Robert Wood (autor of Food Allergies for Dummies) the RAST method seems to be the most accurate, 95%.
My next step is to find an allergist under my insurance who can see me this week--I am impatient, and want to feel better ASAP, to explore testing for food allergies and a possible candida digestive tract infection (the acid stomach and constipation seem to raise flags for this).
So then here is how I will find this wonder doc: check my insurance website for providers, check Yelp for ratings.
Okay, so I have found an allergist who is covered by insurance, has a 4.5 in reviews on yelp and is apparently very web savvy--even responding to patient e-mails. Hopefully he will turn out to be the wonder doc!!
