Life without Taste is . . . Boring.

It does seem a bit silly to order cookies online, but then again, when eliminating 20 common ingredients, the need for a rush of taste becomes vital.

I ordered 20 LARGE Nana's No Gluten (Chocolate and Lemon) Cookies on Sunday and even on Monday was insanely checking for packages. Yes, I do realize that would be an impossible arrival date, but one day without Tony Chachere's Seasoning, bread (from wheat, or rice), peanut butter, chocolate, cheese, wine . . . is long enough to teach the tastebuds how not to salivate.

By yesterday afternoon I had gone into instinctual hunt and gather mode, and thus headed to yet another gourmet grocery in hopes of securing some Nana's cookies or some remedy to my tasteless curse. Thank goodness for Draeger's in Palo Alto!

Draeger's has an entire (1/4 aisle) section devoted to gluten free goodies, many of which also address other common food allergies.

And thus some mini chocolate chippies and flavored rice cakes saved my day. And they are still saving me, one day at a time.

Following are the pics of my new fav snack foods and their brand logos--click to visit their websites. And to the two following brands, who address food allergy concerns, THANK YOU!!
