Good news! I heard back from Larenim, who verified that all of their products are gluten free, containing only mineral ingredients. I feel an order coming on . . .
On another gluten free salute to skin care, has anyone else avoiding gluten found their skin drying out and lips perpetually chapped? I am wondering if it is common for the absence of gluten based tocopheral to leave the body dried out and depleted of moisture. Plus, finding a great natural moisturizer that is gluten free is not easy.
After days of chapped lips, I finally set out for a Whole Foods remedy. I wound up making two seemingly smart purchases: Dessert Essence Jojoba Oil, Whole Foods Vitamin E Capsules.
Post purchase, I immediately popped open a capsule and smoothed some oil upon my lips . . . relief. I also rubbed some rapidly between my palms and on the backs of my hands for some emergency hand moisture.
Tonight, in preparation for a dinner out with friends, I worked some jojoba oil between my palms and smoothed over the ends of my hair in a pulling the ends motion, any residue I smoothed over the fronts of my legs (where light reflects). I also dabbed on a bit of sassy Larenim eye colour on my lower inner eye rims for some added appeal.
My now shiny, messed hair is sexed up, my lined eyes are glaring and my oil coated lips are looking lush.
Natural, gluten free beauty can rock, it just takes a bit more try-and-seeing.
